Page numbers are usually placed at
the top or bottom of each page of the manuscript, either in the center or right
side of the page.
- Open your manuscript, place the
cursor to the left of the manuscript title.
- Click on LAYOUT
in the tool bar and select PAGE, NUMBERING, as shown here:
- This opens the PAGE
NUMBERING tool on top of the page.
- Select the position where you want
the page number to appear by clicking on the POSITION button.
- Click OK.
- Click on OPTION
to add more features to the page number. This will open the PAGE
NUMBERING OPTION page, as shown in the following example:
- Place the cursor to the left of
[Page #] in the NUMBER TYPE: FORMAT AND ACCOMPANYING TEXT.
Type your name, followed by "et al., Page
<space>", as shown in the above example.
- Click OK.
- You can change the font by clicking
on the FONT button. Otherwise, click OK.
